The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 10 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will forgive Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will make an announcement to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Plus, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will return home to chaos.
Y&R spoilers tease Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will count her steps as Victoria helps her over to the couch in the main room. Victoria will tell her mom she’s going to move in and help her until she gets her sight back.
“I think it was a good decision to stay on the main floor,” she’ll add. “But do you think there’s any hope you might move back into the room with dad?” Nikki will tell her she’s dealing with enough as it is. Later, she’ll struggle with moving around the house by herself.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Adam Doesn’t Want Victor To Go After Sally
At the GCAC, Victor will meet with his sons and they’ll discuss Newman Enterprises. “I need to inform both of you that I’ve appointed Victoria to run the company,” Victor will say. Nick will say he wants to run the company with his sister. But Victor will tell him he needs to recover.
“Give it a few months, my decision is final.” Victoria will arrive and agree with her father’s decision to let her run Newman. Adam will ask where he fits in. He’ll say he and his girlfriend have found a way to start Newman Media over from scratch. “Let us pull Cane’s old company out of the ashes.”
But Victor will say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) controls Arabesque. He gave it to her. “You’re so busy handing out companies to Lily and Phyllis, there’s not a whole lot left, is there?” Adam will reply. Victor will say they’re going after Spectra Charles. But Adam doesn’t want to go after Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Speaking of Sally, she’ll ask Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) if he’s okay. “My mother just left,” he’ll reply. But she invited him to go to London for a few days and Sally will encourage him to go. So he’ll call his mom and say he’ll accompany her back to London.
Meanwhile, Kyle will shout for help in the hospital hallway, as he walks with his mom in his arms. He’ll put her on a stretcher and a nurse will come around the corner. Kyle will hand her the syringe and say his mother was injected with whatever was in there.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will run out of Jack’s room and Kyle will tell her what’s happened. A doctor will show up and say they’ll run a toxicology on the syringe and Diane’s blood. Traci will say Jack’s awake and his mom will tell him to go see his father. Jack will ask Kyle to get the cops in his room so he can tell them Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) stabbed him.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Patty Tells Jack That They’ll Meet Again
Then he’ll ask where Diane is. “There’s something you need to know,” Kyle will reply. “Patty was here earlier, disguised as a nurse.” He’ll add she was going to inject something into his IV and they’ll hear a disturbance outside the room. Jack will call out for Burrow (Matt Cohen) to bring her in.
“Patty this is over, you are not bringing Diane down,” he’ll tell her. “Maybe I already have,” she’ll reply, grinning. Jack will tell them to get her out of there. “Until we meet again Jack,” Patty will say, as they drag her away. “And we will.” Jack will know something has happened. “Where is your mother?” he’ll ask.
But before he can answer, Ashley will walk in. She’ll sit by Jack’s bedside and the doctor will ask to talk to Kyle and Traci. They’ll head to the hallway and learn Diane was injected with Digitalis, which can induce a heart attack. But they were able to give her a drug that counteracts it and she’s fine.
Traci and Kyle will be relieved and will head back into Jack’s room and tell him what happened. Kyle will say Patty not only tried to finish him off, she tried to kill his mom too. “Oh my God,” Jack will say. “Diane could have died.” But he’ll also worry she’ll never forgive him. Billy will arrive and he, Traci and Ashley will tell Jack he and Diane’s love is still there.
Finally, Diane will walk in and everyone will clear out. She’ll say she’s so glad he’s okay. Jack will ask if they will be, after everything that’s happened. “I’m sorry I hurt you,” he’ll tell her. Diane will say she loves him and never stopped.
“When I saw you on the dining room floor, I was so scared you weren’t going to make it,” she’ll add. “That’s when I realized there’s nothing I want more then to spend every day with you. I forgive you.” Then she’ll kiss him.
